Nixon Peabody Volunteers Band Together To Spruce Up Camp Meehan
Volunteers from the Providence law firm Nixon Peabody got down and dirty at Capital City Community Centers’ Camp Meehan this summer on a project to beautify the camp’s lodge and beach. Disadvantaged Providence youth spend summers at Camp Meehan engaged in swimming, boating, adventure programming and other activities. Realizing the site was in need of a little TLC, volunteers arrived armed with truckloads of mulch, sand and flowers and spent the day sprucing up flower beds and the camp’s small beach. Nixon Peabody graciously donated the cost of the project’s materials ($500) and organized the contingent from start to finish.
Cap Cities extends its appreciation to board chair Stacie Collier – an attorney at the firm – and the many volunteers dedicating time and effort to the Camp Meehan project.
