Before and After School Program
Research has shown that Providence elementary and middle school-aged kids that are unsupervised during out-of-school time are at high-risk for a whole host of problems, including school truancy and poor grades, substance use and crime. Capital City Community Centers is providing a solution to these problems by offering a unique, licensed Before and After School Program to 120 Providence children ages 5-16. Our program’s philosophy is built around a teaching method called “character education.” Character education is the deliberate effort to help people understand, care about, and act upon core ethical values.
