Neither rain nor heat could keep them away.

All of the golfers walked away winners after having a swinging time at Capital City Community Centers' 4th Annual Golf Tournament to benefit the LADDER Scholarship Fund.  Players enjoyed a warm, relaxing day at Glocester Country Club - despite a brief thunderstorm - for an important cause.  The $23,000 raised will provide scholarships to low-income, disadvantaged youth to attend our top notch early childhood and before and after school programs for free or at reduced cost.

After a healthy dose of competition on the course, players returned to the club's dining room for cocktails and dinner, an awards presentation, raffle and silent auction.  The room was outfitted in a spectacular display of artwork and centerpieces created by Cap Cities' Before and After School Program youth with the assistance of volunteer Sally Darquea.  Creative rock animals and tissue paper flowers adorned the dinner tables, and beautiful murals greeted guests at the club's entrance.  The decorations were an important reminder of the many youth benefiting from the event's contributors.

Cap Cities is especially appreciative of the support of our three primary sponsors Piccerelli and Gilstein, Stephen Sullivan, Inc. and Integrated Financial Partners

We also gratefully acknowledge the broad community support from individuals and local business.  Individuals donating foursomes to our silent auction include:
