Youth Program Space Renovated with Volunteer Assistance

Capital City Community Centers teamed up with 40 volunteers from Textron in October to renovate our Youth Program space at our Ruggles Street location.  This enthusiastic and talented team of accountants took a day off from volunteer painting 3the office to paint our game, club and art rooms, hallways and two bathrooms.  The beautiful color palette of green, yellow and blue brought life and comfort to the outdated space occupied daily by our Before and After School's 13 older youth.  Volunteers also "brushed up" on their organizing skills, cleaning and rearranging supplies in one of our classrooms that has given our children easier access to our wealth of arts and crpainting volunteer 1afts and games.  To top it off, the company contributed furniture and supplies such as bean bags, games, books and tables to expand our curriculum's offerings and further brighten up the space.

Our staff and youth are thrilled at the incredible contribution this group has made to our building.  Many thanks to all the volunteers for their effort!
