Volunteers from United Natural Foods Entertain Seniors

In mid-December volunteers from United Natural Foods International (UNFI) entertained our seniors at a special holiday lunch. The group, comprised of many talented vocalists, sang Christmas carols and holiday songs and helped serve lunch to the forty seniors who attended. In addition, UNFI employees generously supported our Holiday Adopt-a-Family program, supplying presents and gift cards to seniors and families to make the season brighter for our neighbors.

UNFI volunteer Sandi Pickering who was instrumental in organizing the effort said, “We were so pleased to be able to give of our time and treasure to bring holiday cheer to the seniors. They really enjoyed our singing and it was great fun for us,” Sandi said.
