About Us

Overview

Capital City Community Centers (Cap City) is a non-profit social service agency in the heart of Providence, RI. For nearly seventy years, we have remained committed to helping members of our community live healthy and productive lives. Our mission is to support individuals and families who have difficulty across life domains with the basic needs of food, housing and clothing to child and senior care.

Our programs are designed to meet the diverse needs of those we serve. They include:

  • Emergency services, including a food pantry that provides fresh produce, canned and frozen meats and vegetables and bakery products, as well as referrals to services in the Metro Providence area for health, education, employment, recreation, legal assistance, and financial planning.
  • An early childhood learning center serving up to 108 preschool, and pre-kindergarten children ages three to five years.
  • A senior program  in which seniors gather daily for activities that support their health and well-being.
